SocialApp legal information
Last updated: September 30, 2026
Privacy Policy
This Policy explains what information SocialApp processes when you use the website, connect social accounts, or publish content, and how you can make a privacy request.
1. Information we process
The information processed depends on the features you use. It may include:
- Account details you provide, such as your name, email address, company, and country.
- Social account details returned by a provider, such as account or Page identifiers, profile name, username, avatar, and the permissions you grant.
- Access and refresh tokens issued by a provider. These are stored by our server and used to keep the connection working; they are not your social network password.
- Content and media you create, upload, schedule, or publish through SocialApp, along with available publishing status and post engagement information requested by you.
- Profile settings and service records, such as connected account status and the dates of account creation or connection.
- Basic technical information included with requests to our hosting and service providers, which may include IP address, browser, device, and diagnostic or security log information.
2. How we use information
We use information to:
- Create and secure your SocialApp account and provide its dashboard and settings.
- Connect to social platforms after you authorize us, and carry out the publishing, scheduling, synchronization, or reporting actions you request and that the platform supports.
- Store your drafts, media, connected account details, and service preferences so those features work across sessions.
- Diagnose errors, protect the service, prevent abuse, and respond to support or privacy requests.
- Meet legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
3. Social platform data and your choices
When you connect a platform, its authorization screen describes the permissions requested. SocialApp uses the resulting access only for the connected features you choose. The social platform separately processes information under its own privacy policy and may receive content when you ask SocialApp to publish it.
You can disconnect an account from SocialApp and revoke access in the provider's settings. Revoking access prevents future API requests but does not remove content already published on that platform. To remove a published post, use SocialApp if supported or remove it directly on the platform.
4. When information is shared
We do not sell personal information. We share information only as needed to operate SocialApp, follow your instructions, or meet legal and security requirements. This includes service providers that host the website and application, store the database, or store uploaded media (currently Netlify, MongoDB Atlas, and Cloudinary when configured), and social platforms you choose to connect. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices.
We may disclose information if required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transfer. We do not share your social account password with SocialApp because provider sign-in happens on the provider's site.
5. Storage and security
Account and connection records are stored in the application's database. Uploaded media may be stored by our configured media-storage provider. SocialApp uses technical and organizational measures intended to protect information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your SocialApp credentials private and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
6. Retention and deletion requests
We retain account and service information while an account is active and as needed to operate the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the service. Disconnecting a social account stops its future use but may leave historical records associated with your SocialApp account.
The current in-app account deletion action deactivates an account; it does not by itself erase all associated records. To request deletion of your SocialApp account and associated personal information, use the privacy request form below and select “Delete my account and data.” We will use the supplied email address to locate the account and may ask for reasonable verification. We will process requests as required by applicable law and explain if information must be retained.
You can also ask us to correct information or request a copy of information associated with your account using the same form. Deleting a SocialApp record cannot remove content already published to a social platform; make that request with the platform as well.
7. Cookies and local storage
SocialApp stores an authentication token in your browser's local storage to keep you signed in between visits. You can sign out to remove it from that browser. Your browser may also store standard technical data required to load the site. Social platforms and our hosting providers may use their own cookies when you visit their services; their policies explain those practices.
8. Children and international processing
SocialApp is intended for people who are permitted to use the connected social platforms and is not designed for children. Our service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live, subject to the safeguards applicable to those providers and processing.
9. Changes and contact
We may update this Policy as SocialApp changes. We will update the date shown above when we post a revision. To ask a privacy question or submit a data request, use the form below.
Privacy and data requests
Use this form to ask a question, request a copy or correction, or request deletion of your account and associated data. Submit it on the deployed SocialApp website so Netlify can securely deliver the request to the site owner.
